Brew Guide

By Our Q Grader

A French Press makes for an exceptional cup of coffee.

A French Press allows for steeping; because the grounds steep instead of filter, you can expect a more flavorful brew. Eliminating a paper filter leaves just the ground coffee providing you to taste all the flavors without the impurities.

Measure

Begin with a course ground

Accurately weigh the coffee and measure the amount of water. Here is a general guide for the coffee to water ration.

1 cups water (8 fluid ounces)
— 2 tbsp coffee beans (14 grams)

2 cups (16 fluid ounces)
— ¼ cup coffee beans (28 grams)

4 cups (32 fluid ounces)
— ½ cup coffee beans (56 grams)

8 cups (64 fluid ounces)
— 1 cup coffee beans (112 grams)

Fill & Stir

After bringing water to a full boil, wait 1 minute then add to ground coffee, using a long spoon/stirrer, stir vigorously to break up the top layer.

Allow the coffee to steep for 4 minutes allowing for the best infused flavor. Don’t allow coffee to sit with the grounds

Serve & enjoy immediately!
